For most of my childhood and teen years I grew up in Michigan's scenic Upper Peninsula, or the U.P. as us yoopers call it. After graduating from Ishpeming High School in 1982 (the home of some excellent teachers!) I went to Northern Michigan University, a great liberal arts college in nearby Marquette. At NMU I majored in Chemistry with a minor in Computer Science. Over the years I have put my varied talents to work in the U.P., Chicago, California, Milwaukee and Florida in a variety of positions including technical instruction and consulting, productivity programming, aircraft maintenance reliability tracking, analyical chemistry, photography, and quality and environmental engineering. I completed my Master's thesis as a Graduate Research Assistant in Civil Environmental Engineering at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee in 1999. There I conducted in an EPA funded study to develop a radon resistant concrete for use in new home construction. In February 1993 I founded Earth Preservation Funds, Inc., an IRS tax exempt non-profit organization, one of the major focuses in my life. Currently, I'm doing freelance professional engineering in Florida & Michigan ephasizing Swimming Pool Design, Quality and Environmental Engineering. Thank you for visiting!
